Quintessentially English, this legendary piece is named after the curved wooden legs that has come to be known Queen Anne. Dating back to the 18th century, it is a classic chair that's been loved by all, from royals to every day people who seek superior comfort and taste.

The Chesterfield Design

Chesterfield sofas are some of the the most luxurious and iconic pieces of furniture ever designed. They have the ability to fit in any environment, whether its a presidential suite at a 5 star hotel, a modern classic home, or a small apartment. A truly classic British design that's remained unchanged for over 300 years.

Throughout centuries, chesterfield sofas have adorned the palaces of royalty, high-end hotels, luxurious residences, gentlemans' clubs and prominent business premises. The chesterfield is synonymous with elegance and sophistication.

With its renowned style of deep buttoned scroll arms and low rising back, double buttoned skirting and hand studded facade, it has withstood the test of time and it's still a sought-after addition to any stylish home or office.

We build sofas that last for years and would like to think you can hand them down to family members when you upgrade, not to just discard of them. There are truly antique chesterfields around today, having survived decades of service. We strive to make such quality pieces.

What is antiqued leather?

The attractiveness of a classic chesterfield comes from its historic charm and aristocratic elegance. Our range of upholstery in antiqued leather is no exception. The hide is dyed and pre-aged for a number of months. It is only sent to the workshop once the leather craftsman is satisfied with the results. The hide will then go through the antiquing process, which is achieved by gently rubbing away the top coat and add definition to patterns. Finally a coat of sealant is applied, providing a mellow lustre finish and long lasting protection. This process gives our chesterfield collection the classic character and warmth that is synonymous with this timeless piece of furniture.
